Role Description The BIM Modeler – MEP is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai. This role involves developing, updating, and maintaining detailed BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in line with project specifications and industry standards.

The BIM Modeler – MEP will coordinate closely with project engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate integration of MEP services within overall building designs. Daily responsibilities include interpreting construction drawings, resolving model clashes,



preparing coordinated layouts, and supporting the production of shop drawings and as-built documentation. The role also requires adherence to internal BIM standards, contributing to model quality control, and supporting continuous improvement of workflows and templates.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and BIM-based coordination.
- Candidates should possess skills related to Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems design and modeling.
- Candidates should possess skills in interpreting Architecture and Construction Drawings.
- Candidates should possess skills as a Modeler, including 3D modeling and detailing for building services.
- Proficiency in relevant BIM software (e.g., Revit MEP, Navisworks, AutoCAD) is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Experience in MEP contracting or building services projects, ideally in large-scale commercial or infrastructure developments, is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, and effective communication skills are required.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes, as well as basic knowledge of quantity take-off from BIM models, is beneficial.
