Role Description The BIM Modeler – Electrical is a full-time, in office role based in Mumbai. This position involves creating and updating detailed electrical BIM models, including power, lighting, ELV, and related systems, in coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP teams. The role requires interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, ensuring models adhere to project standards, local codes, and company BIM protocols.

The BIM Modeler collaborates closely with designers and engineers to resolve clashes, maintain accurate documentation, and prepare coordinated drawings and schedules for delivery. Daily activities include model coordination,



quality checks, version control, and support for project teams across global offices.

Qualifications

Strong BIM and 3D modeling skills using tools such as Autodesk Revit (Electrical), Navisworks, and related BIM coordination software.

Proficiency in electrical design documentation, including power and lighting layouts, cable routing, panel schedules, and ELV systems.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards, and translate them into accurate, coordinated BIM models.

Experience with clash detection, model review, and coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.

Solid understanding of relevant electrical codes, standards, and best practices applicable to building services projects.

Attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to maintain version control and documentation within BIM workflows.

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams.

Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, with prior experience in BIM modeling for building services preferred.

Experience working in homebuilding, retail, or similar construction sectors is an advantage.

Willingness to learn new tools and processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in BIM standards and practices.
