Role Description The Banquet Manager is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing end-to-end banquet and large event food service operations. This role includes planning and coordinating banquet events, managing staff schedules, and ensuring food and beverage service meets HungerBox standards and client expectations.

Manager will collaborate with cafeteria and vendor teams to align event menus, logistics, and service flow, while monitoring quality, hygiene, and compliance with safety regulations. Day-to-day responsibilities also involve handling client interactions,
resolving service issues promptly, optimizing resources and costs, and reporting event performance to management. The role requires hands-on supervision on the floor during events to ensure smooth execution and high guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong customer-centric mindset with skills in Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
- Excellent Communication abilities for coordinating with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
- Practical experience and knowledge in Food & Beverage operations, including large-scale or banquet service.
- Experience in Hiring, training, and supervising frontline service staff.
- Proven ability to manage events or banquets, including planning, execution, and post-event review.
- Knowledge of food safety, hygiene standards, and compliance requirements in institutional dining.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort working in office in a fast-paced environment, including evenings or weekends as events require.
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, or a related field preferred.
- Prior experience in hospitality, catering, or institutional food services is highly beneficial.
