Role Overview :

As a Principal Engineer (SDE-4), you will serve as the technical architect and visionary for our core backend systems, bridging the gap between high-scale distributed computing and advanced machine learning deployment. You will work closely with product leadership, data scientists, and cross-functional engineering teams to translate complex business problems into robust, scalable, and performant system architectures.

Your day-to-day involves setting the technical roadmap, mentoring senior engineering talent, and driving the adoption of cutting-edge deep learning models into production environments. By optimizing our backend infrastructure, you will directly influence the latency, reliability, and intelligence of the products used by millions of our customers, ensuring our platform remains at the forefront of technological innovation.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and oversee the development of highly scalable backend services that integrate complex machine learning pipelines to ensure seamless performance under heavy traffic loads.
- Lead technical strategy and system design initiatives, providing clear guidance to engineering teams to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to industry-leading standards.
- Collaborate with data science teams to bridge the gap between model research and production deployment, ensuring that deep learning models are optimized for real-time inference.
- Mentor senior and staff engineers through code reviews and design discussions, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning across the organization.




- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies and architectural patterns to solve systemic bottlenecks, directly impacting business growth and operational efficiency.
- Partner with product managers and stakeholders to define technical requirements and roadmaps, ensuring that engineering efforts are perfectly aligned with long-term business objectives.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated mastery in designing and maintaining distributed systems, with a deep understanding of microservices architecture, event-driven design, and high-concurrency patterns.
- Proven ability to operationalize machine learning models, including expertise in model serving, feature stores, and the integration of deep learning frameworks within production environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making at the leadership level.
- Strong proficiency in backend programming languages such as Java, Go, or Python, coupled with a deep understanding of database internals and caching strategies.
- A track record of thriving in collaborative, high-growth environments, with the flexibility to work effectively in a hybrid setup across our Bangalore or Hyderabad offices.
- An educational background in Computer Science or a related quantitative field from a premier institute, providing a robust foundation in algorithms and system design.
- A minimum of 7 to 12 years of hands-on experience in building large-scale backend systems, with a clear history of delivering high-impact engineering projects.
