Archi's Inc is a US-based technology company building innovative digital products and platforms for clients across various industries. We're expanding our engineering team in Kerala and looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Backend Developer to join us full-time and grow with the company.

Role Overview

We're looking for a Backend Developer with 2 years of hands-on, project-based experience to design, build, and maintain robust server-side applications and APIs that power our products. You'll work closely with our engineering and product teams, contribute across the stack when needed, and play a key role in shaping the reliability and scalability of our systems.

This isn't just a coding role - we're looking for someone who wants to grow with us. As the team and company scale, we're looking for someone who can take on greater ownership over time and eventually grow into a technical leadership role, mentoring other developers and helping shape our engineering practices.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
- Design, structure, and optimize relational database schemas and queries using PostgreSQL / SQL
- Collaborate with the team on frontend integration and feature development using Next.js
- Write clean, efficient, well-documented, and testable code
- Participate in system design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues across the application stack
- Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and daily stand-ups
- Ensure application performance, security, scalability, and data integrity
- Work with DevOps/deployment processes to ship features reliably
- Occasionally visit client sites for meetings, requirement gathering, implementation support, or troubleshooting as needed
- Take ownership of features and projects end-to-end, with increasing responsibility over time

Requirements





- 2 years of professional, project-based backend development experience
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot in production or real-world projects
- Solid working knowledge of PostgreSQL and SQL, including query optimization and schema design
- Intermediate-level, project-based experience with Next.js for frontend development
- Practical understanding of RESTful API design, authentication, and integration patterns
- Familiarity with Git and cooperative version control workflows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ownership mindset and interest in growing into a leadership or mentoring role over time
- Candidates must currently reside in Kerala. Applications from candidates outside Kerala will not be considered.

Nice to Have

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Familiarity with Docker or other containerization tools
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines
- Prior experience working with a US-based, remote, or distributed team
- Prior experience mentoring junior developers or leading small projects/teams

Work Requirements & Travel

This role may occasionally require travel to visit client locations for meetings, project implementation, or on-site support. All travel expenses for client visits will be fully covered by the company. Advance notice will be provided for any such travel wherever possible.

Compensation & Details

- Salary: ₹25,000 per month
- Employment Type: Full-time
- Location: Kerala, India (Remote - must currently reside in Kerala)
- Client-visit travel expenses: Fully reimbursed by the company
