We are looking for a Backend Developer with 3–5 years of experience who enjoys solving complex engineering problems and building scalable backend systems. You will play a key role in designing and developing the core backend services that power the XALT platform. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in backend architecture, API development, database design, SDK development, and cloud-native applications.

This role is ideal for engineers who want to move beyond feature development and contribute to building a robust platform that serves millions of users and enterprise partners. Key Responsibilities

Backend Development

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Node.js, NestJS, and TypeScript.

Build secure, reusable, and high-performance RESTful APIs.

Develop modular backend components and reusable service frameworks.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices. API and Integration

Design and develop enterprise-grade APIs for internal products and external partners.

Build and maintain API documentation using Swagger/OpenAPI.

Implement secure authentication and authorization using JWT and OAuth.

Integrate with third-party services including banking, brokerage, KYC,



payment, and market data providers. SDK and Webhooks

Develop SDKs and reusable client libraries for internal and external developers.

Build secure and scalable webhook infrastructure for real-time event notifications.

Design event-driven workflows and asynchronous processing using messaging systems.

Database

Management

Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas.

Improve query performance, indexing, and overall database efficiency.

Ensure data integrity, security, and scalability across applications. Cloud and Deployment

Deploy and maintain applications on AWS.

Work with Docker and CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

Monitor application performance and troubleshoot production issues. Collaboration

Work closely with Product, Frontend, DevOps, and QA teams.

Participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.

Contribute to improving engineering standards, documentation, and development processes.
