About the Role - We are seeking an accomplished Webiny Lead Developer to architect, develop, and drive delivery of serverless applications using the Webiny CMS platform. The ideal candidate is a hands-on expert with strong leadership skills and deep proficiency in Webiny, AWS serverless technologies, and modern JavaScript/TypeScript development. This role involves technical oversight, solution design, and active contribution to high-performance, scalable Webiny based solutions.

Responsibilities

- Webiny & Serverless Development
- Lead end-to-end design, customization, and deployment of applications on Webiny Serverless CMS.
- Build and extend Webiny features, including custom plugins, backend components, and GraphQL APIs.
- Manage Webiny content models, publishing workflows, and multi-environment setups.
- Ensure solutions meet security, performance, and scalability standards.

- Architecture & Technical Leadership

- Define and maintain architecture patterns for Webiny and serverless applications.
- Lead and mentor development teams; conduct reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Work closely with UI/UX, QA, DevOps, and product teams to achieve delivery milestones.

- AWS & Infrastructure

- Design and manage serverless infrastructure on AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, CloudFront, Cognito, and related services.
- Maintain and optimize automated deployment pipelines (GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, etc.).




- Perform monitoring, debugging, performance tuning, and cost optimization.

- Quality, Security & Governance

- Ensure clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Implement best practices for security, testing, CI/CD, and observability.
- Support pre- and post-production deployments and resolve issues proactively.

Must Have
- 8+ years of overall software development experience.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on Webiny CMS experience.
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React, GraphQL, and serverless application design.
- Proven expertise in the AWS serverless ecosystem.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Pulumi, Serverless Framework, or Terraform.
- Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines for Webiny or serverless projects.
- Solid leadership qualities, communication skills, and analytical thinking.

- Experience with multi-tenant Webiny architectures.
- Exposure to other headless CMS platforms.
- Prior client-facing, tech lead, or solution architect experience.
