Position: AV (Audio Video) Support Engineer / Technician

Experience: 4 to 6 Years

Location: Bengaluru

Roles and Responsibilities

- Help Desk Assistance: Primary point of contact for receiving and managing support requests related to audiovisual equipment. Respond to user inquiries, service tickets, and phone calls, providing prompt assistance and guidance to address technical issues or user concerns effectively.

- Technical Support: Technical support to presenters, performers, and event organizers. They assist with connecting laptops, devices, and other equipment to the AV system and ensure that all technical requirements are met. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, diagnose technical issues, and resolve them in a timely manner.

- Sound Management: Handle audio-related tasks, such as adjusting sound levels, mixing audio feeds, and ensuring clear and balanced sound quality throughout the event venue. They may also be responsible for managing microphones for presenters and speakers.

- Visual Presentation: Manage visual aspects of the event, including setting up projectors, screens, and displays to ensure clear and accurate visual presentations. They handle tasks like adjusting screen resolution, aspect ratios, and video playback.

- Lighting Control: Controlling and adjusting the event lighting. Create the appropriate lighting atmosphere to match the event's theme, mood, and content.

- Live Streaming and Recording: In the case of virtual or hybrid events, manage live streaming setups, ensuring that the event is broadcasted smoothly to remote participants. Responsible for recording the event for later distribution.

- Setup and Testing: Setting up and testing audio and visual equipment before the event starts. This includes microphones, speakers, projectors, screens, lighting, video displays, and other AV components. They ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and calibrated for optimal performance.





- Equipment Maintenance: Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of AV equipment. This includes regular inspections, cleaning, and troubleshooting to ensure that all equipment is in valuable working condition.

- Timing and Coordination: Need to work closely with event organizers, presenters, and other technical staff to ensure that audio and visual cues are timed accurately. This coordination is critical for seamless transitions between different segments of the event. Collaborate with internal IT teams, facilities management, and external vendors to coordinate audiovisual support services effectively. Schedule maintenance activities, and facilitate equipment upgrades or replacements as needed.

- Adaptability: Adaptable and able to handle unexpected situations, such as last-minute changes to presentations, equipment failures, or changes in the event setup.

- Remote Support and Monitoring: Utilize remote management tools and software to monitor the health and status of audiovisual systems remotely. Conduct remote troubleshooting and diagnostics to address technical issues without the need for onsite intervention, minimizing downtime and disruptions to business operations.

- Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct testing and quality assurance checks on audiovisual equipment to ensure that it meets performance standards and user expectations. Perform audio/video signal testing, network connectivity tests, and compatibility assessments to verify the functionality and reliability of audiovisual systems.

- Documentation and Reporting:



Maintain accurate records of support activities, service tickets, equipment inventory, and maintenance schedules. Generate reports on support metrics, service trends, and system performance to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.

- Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with corporate policies, standards, and industry regulations related to audiovisual technology, data privacy, and cybersecurity. Implement security measures to protect sensitive information, prevent unauthorized access, and mitigate potential risks associated with audiovisual systems.

- User Experience Enhancement: Continuously seek opportunities to improve the user experience and usability of audiovisual technology in corporate environments. Gather feedback from users, analyze user needs and preferences, and make recommendations for enhancements, upgrades, or new technologies to enhance productivity and collaboration.

- User Training and Education: Conduct training sessions or workshops to educate employees on how to use audiovisual technology effectively. Provide guidance on operating equipment, navigating user interfaces, troubleshooting common issues, and maximizing the capabilities of audiovisual systems for collaboration and presentation purposes.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in sound engineering or a similar field.

- Previous experience working as an AV technician.

- In-depth knowledge of sound, video, and lighting equipment.

- Familiarity with computers and IP Networking Systems.

- Excellent troubleshooting skills.

- A keen eye for detail.

- Good communication and interpersonal skill
