AV Engineer is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the AV Technology organization, focusing on an integrated approach to operations, service delivery, planning and the processes supporting CIBC. Also, responsible for the delivery of AV technology in support of all CIBC businesses and customers. Delivers world class solutions in support of business strategies, through a combination of in-house systems development and working with leading technology partners At CIBC India we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role.





Details on your work arrangement (including in office and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview. How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):

Provide Support and Expertise to the Service Owner in the following areas;

Support Audio Visual Technologies from inception to decommissioning, following all key process

Support the development of a technology-oriented Roadmap of Initiatives to improve the services

Support the development of a currency strategy

Support the development and maintenance of TCO’s

Support the creation and content in the Enterprise Service Descriptions

Support the coordination among key functions such as, Service Owners, Engineering, Architecture, and Solutioning Strategy :

Provide Support and Expertise to the Service Owner in the following areas;

Provide technical leadership aimed at the strengthening and maturing the Audio-Visual Technology Service

Managed and maintain the currency, capacity, and refresh plans

Translate Strategic direction into Roadmap Initiatives Service Design:

Provide Support and Expertise to the Service Owner & Snr Engineers in the following areas;

Support the definition and design of service offerings

Support the development of service descriptions, service models, and cost models

Develop support processes in partnership with Engineering and Operations Vendor Management:

Provide Support and Expertise to the Service Owner in the following areas; Reviews of vendor roadmaps

Support model definition

Assist in problem management of systemic issues as needed

Participate in new service offering discussions Policy and Standards Oversight:

Support the Emerging Technologies Service Owner and make recommendations for continuous improvements.

Ensure that CIBC policies and standards are followed for the Services being managed. Typical policies / standards areas are:

Governance

Security

Technology Development Framework

Architecture / TAG Financial Management:

Support the creation and maintenance of the Total cost of Ownership (TCO) for Audio Visual Technologies TECHNICAL SME:

SME to act as a technical lead in the Audio-Visual Technology space

Provide operational support for the location on all Audio-Visual technologies, including support documentation, user guides and training.

Maintain regular contact with peers, technology service owners, and middle management

Maintain effective working relationship with all Service Owners in SPM

Partner closely with Infrastructure teams: Engineering,



Operations, and the Help Desk

Partner with Vendors and managed service teams

As a key contributor to the business unit, this job has the authority to recommend changes to business processes in order to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Engineering & Operational support: (5 days a week)

Onsite daily support with Remote access ability

Normal Hours of Operation, Mon-Fri, 8:00 to 16:30 daily

Critical support hours 9:00 am to 15:30 daily

Maintenance & Issue Support – scheduled after hours

Overtime eligible after regular business hours Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

Must Have Skills

6 years of related experience in AV Infrastructure Services and Support

5 years’ experience in the Emerging Technology Services, preferably at an FI or other large complex organization Technical expertise in the following areas:

AV technologies such as;

Crestron/Flex - MTR

Microsoft Surface Hubs

QSYS

Dante

Biamp DSP

IPTV

Broadcast technologies (nice to have)

Smart Building Technologies such as;

Way Finding

Room Bookings

Building Controls such as HVAC and Lighting (knowledge of)

A strong technical familiarity with;

Unified Communications Technologies such as;

Office 365

Teams

Working knowledge of Webex, Zoom

Network Technologies such as;

Wi-Fi

Power over Ethernet

Firewall/Security appliances

Relationship Management: Ability to establish and build healthy working relations and partnerships with clients, vendors and peers.

Planning: Ability to contribute to operational (short term), and tactical (1 - 2 years)

Leadership--Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others.

IT Service Management--Knowledge of the asset and process management practices, requirements, and support services for the IT function.

Influencing--Ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.

Decision Making and Critical Thinking--Knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.

Engineering Degree in a discipline relevant to the demands of the position Additional Certifications an Asset:

CTI-P101 Foundations of Crestron Programming Certification will be considered an asset

Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) or Certified Technology Specialist Design (CTS-D) will be considered an asset

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) will be considered an asset
