About The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation & Control Systems Engineer to join Pi Square Technologies. This role involves designing, developing, integrating, and commissioning complex industrial automation solutions tailored for large-scale manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of PLC programming, SCADA/MES integration, and industrial communication protocols.

They will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation of automation systems, from initial design through to system validation and commissioning. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including process engineers, OEMs, suppliers, and manufacturing personnel to deliver robust automation solutions that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Qualifications The ideal candidate should hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, Control Systems, or Mechatronics.



A minimum of 7 years of experience in industrial automation and control systems engineering is required. Candidates should demonstrate strong expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/MES integration, and industrial communication networks.

Proven experience in commissioning activities, functional safety standards, and system validation is essential.

Certifications or additional training in safety standards such as IEC 13849 and IEC 61508 will be advantageous. Candidates must possess excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach to project management.

Responsibilities Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs utilizing Siemens TIA Portal, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and Mitsubishi GX Works to ensure optimal system performance. Review and analyze Functional Design Specifications (FDS), control philosophies, and automation architectures to align with project requirements. Design and implement seamless PLC-SCADA-MES integrations, facilitating efficient data exchange and process control.

Develop and validate OPC UA Information Models and NodeSets to enable standardized communication across systems. Configure and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols such as Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP, MQTT, and Modbus TCP to ensure reliable connectivity.

Execute Factory Acceptance

Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), commissioning activities,



and system validation (IQ/OQ) to guarantee system integrity and compliance. Support machine safety reviews, conduct risk assessments, and validate safety PLCs to uphold safety standards. Collaborate effectively with OEMs, suppliers, process engineering teams, and manufacturing operations to deliver integrated automation solutions that meet project timelines and quality benchmarks.
