About The Role We are seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team at Dhruv Technology Solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Manufacturing Execution System (MES) integration with shopfloor equipment, playing a pivotal role in enabling seamless data exchange between manufacturing hardware and enterprise platforms.

This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining robust integration solutions that provide real-time visibility into production processes, facilitate efficient data management, and support digital transformation initiatives.

The Automation

Engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformation units to ensure system reliability, security, and scalability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative projects that drive operational excellence and Industry 4.0 adoption.





Qualifications The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Automation Engineering. Proven hands-on experience with PLCs from manufacturers such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, or Omron is essential.

A strong understanding of MES systems, ISA-95 architecture, and industrial communication protocols like OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Profibus is required. Additionally, proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or .NET, along with solid knowledge of databases like SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL, is necessary.

Certifications or prior experience in Industry 4.0, IIoT, or cloud platforms like Azure or AWS IoT will be considered advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Implement MES integration with shopfloor equipment including PLCs, CNCs, sensors, and vision systems to facilitate real-time data exchange.
- Configure and manage communication protocols such as OPC UA, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, Profinet, and Profibus to ensure reliable connectivity across hardware and software layers.
- Integrate MES systems with SCADA/HMI interfaces and enterprise systems like ERP and databases to streamline operations and data flow.
- Develop APIs and middleware solutions to enable efficient data acquisition, processing, and orchestration across various platforms.
- Enable real-time production tracking, machine monitoring, and reporting to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.




- Troubleshoot and resolve integration and communication issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
- Ensure that all systems adhere to security standards, scalability requirements, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, IT, and digital transformation to align integration strategies with business objectives.
