About The Role We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join Qualcomm’s Audio Systems Group, a vital part of our engineering division dedicated to automotive audio, voice AI, and multimedia technology. In this role, you will be at the forefront of developing and optimizing audio and speech solutions for automotive platforms, including Android Automotive OS, hypervisor-based systems, and multi-domain architectures.

Your expertise will contribute to the design, development, and deployment of next-generation audio solutions on Snapdragon platforms, enabling immersive in-car audio experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D;, system integration, and OEM partners, to bring innovative automotive audio solutions from concept to commercialization, ensuring high performance, low latency, and robustness across embedded automotive systems.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in audio software design, with hands-on experience in developing and debugging audio solutions across hardware and software interfaces. Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and Python is essential, along with a solid understanding of Android Audio Framework components such as Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, and AAudio.





Candidates should have experience working with automotive middleware, OS integration, and hypervisor-based system architectures, including virtualization concepts. Familiarity with embedded platforms, DSP architectures, real-time operating systems, and multi-threaded design is highly desirable. A background in fixed-point and floating-point implementations, system validation, and performance optimization will be advantageous.

The candidate should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities As a Systems Engineer in the Automotive Audio team, your key responsibilities will include creating, prototyping, and commercializing innovative automotive audio solutions tailored to modern vehicle infotainment systems. You will design and develop audio systems across automotive software stacks, including Android Automotive OS and middleware layers, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

Your role will involve developing and integrating core audio components such as Audio HAL, AudioFlinger, and related frameworks, with a focus on features like audio virtualization, multi-zone audio, and cabin use cases. You will work on solutions for hypervisor-based multi-OS environments, such as co-existence of Android and RTOS, ensuring system stability and performance. Analyzing and validating the performance of audio subsystems concerning latency, power consumption, and robustness on embedded platforms will be a critical aspect of your work.

You will implement, test,



and debug audio pipelines across DSP, CPU, and heterogeneous compute platforms, ensuring optimal operation. Collaboration with R&D;, system integration, and OEM teams will be essential to automotive productization, as well as supporting SW development for demo prototypes and automotive infotainment use cases.
