Job Role: Associate Software Engineer - Data and Backend

We're a small, fast-moving engineering team building an AI-powered product that automates slow, manual, expert-heavy work. You'll help build the data sets that power our models and make sure the data our system produces is accurate and trustworthy. It is hands-on, detail-heavy work with real ownership from week one, and a close-up view of how a production AI pipeline actually works. What you'll do:

- Build tools in Python that collect data from public web sources at scale.
- Create and curate clean, labeled datasets used both to train and evaluate our models and to check our system's accuracy.
- Support model training and improvement: prepare training and evaluation sets, run experiments, and measure results.




- Validate our product's output against reference datasets and clearly flag anything that is wrong.
- Help measure accuracy and coverage, and track how they improve over time.

•Provide light backend support (APIs, database queries) as you ramp. Must have:

- Solid Python fundamentals.
- Basic web scraping (requests, BeautifulSoup, Playwright, or eagerness to learn fast).
- SQL and relational database basics.
- Git basics.
- Strong attention to detail and a "measure it, don't guess" mindset.
- Ownership: you finish what you start and escalate clearly when stuck. Nice to have:
- Exposure to machine learning: dataset preparation, training, or model evaluation.
- Pandas or data-wrangling experience.
- Exposure to OCR, LLMs, or document processing.
- JavaScript, React, or Node.
- Docker basics and good DSA fundamentals.
