Role Description The Associate will work on a full-time, on-site basis from Gurgaon, Haryana, supporting matters across labour and employment, technology, intellectual property, and corporate law. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting and reviewing legal documents, contracts, policies, and opinions, and assisting in due diligence, transaction structuring, and regulatory compliance.
The role involves legal research, case strategy support, preparation of pleadings and submissions,
and coordination with senior lawyers for hearings, negotiations, and client meetings. The Associate will interact with clients to understand their business context, provide clear and practical legal advice, and help manage workflows, timelines, and documentation for ongoing matters. The position also includes contributing to knowledge development, staying updated on legal and regulatory changes in relevant sectors, and supporting internal process improvement.
Qualifications
- Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply them to complex, technology-driven business environments.
- Experience or interest in labour and employment law, including workplace policies, compliance, employee rights, and dispute resolution.
- Exposure to information technology law, data protection, artificial intelligence regulation, and technology contracts is highly beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with solid drafting abilities for agreements, opinions, pleadings, and client correspondence.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple matters, and maintain high attention to detail and professional ethics.
- LL.B. (or equivalent law degree) from a recognized institution; enrolment with the Bar Council is mandatory, and prior law firm or in-house experience is an advantage.
