Role Description The Assistant Technical Manager – Marine will support technical operations and management of marine assets, systems, and projects while being based in office in Chennai. This full-time role involves coordinating vessel inspections, monitoring compliance with technical and safety standards, and assisting in the resolution of technical issues for marine vessels.

The position includes collaborating with senior technical managers, preparing reports and documentation, and liaising with ship owners, operators, and regulatory bodies.

The Assistant Technical

Manager will also contribute to technical assessments, assist in planning maintenance and dry-docking activities, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to evaluate technical data, vessel performance, and compliance reports.
- Candidates should possess Team Management and Project Management skills to coordinate activities, manage timelines,



and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess Technical Support skills to assist in troubleshooting, resolving marine technical issues, and providing guidance to operational teams.
- Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D;) skills to support technical improvements, evaluate new technologies, and contribute to process optimization.
- Degree or diploma in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience in marine operations, vessel management, or classification/flag administration is highly beneficial.
- Knowledge of international maritime regulations, safety standards, and class/flag requirements.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work in a multicultural, cross-border environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with proficiency in relevant office and technical software.
