Role Description The Assistant Professor – Supply Chain Management role is a full-time, on-site position based at JAIN (Deemed-to-be University) in Bengaluru. The role includes designing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in supply chain management, logistics, and related business disciplines, using contemporary pedagogical approaches. The faculty member will conduct high-quality research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to funded projects and collaborative initiatives with industry and academic partners.

Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring students, supervising projects and dissertations, developing curricula and course materials, evaluating student performance, and participating in departmental and university-level committees.



The role also involves contributing to academic outreach, industry engagement, and continuous improvement of teaching and learning processes.

Qualifications

Strong foundation in supply chain management and related areas, with experience in university teaching and student mentoring.

Skills in curriculum development and instructional design, including the ability to integrate case studies, industry practices, and emerging technologies.

Demonstrated research capabilities, including designing studies, data analysis, and publications in recognized academic outlets.

Knowledge of organizational behavior and marketing to support interdisciplinary teaching and program development.

Relevant academic qualifications, typically a PhD or enrolled in a doctoral program in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, or a closely related field; a master’s degree with strong academic and industry experience may also be considered.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach diverse cohorts and foster an inclusive classroom environment.

Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, engage with industry partners, and contribute to departmental administration and academic initiatives.

Experience with learning management systems, data-driven teaching methods, and contemporary educational technologies is an advantage.
