As an Assistant Manager - Taxation, you will play a vital role in managing and optimizing the Companys direct and indirect taxation activities. This position requires a minimum of four to five years of relevant experience in taxation, core accounting, strong knowledge of tax regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross- functional teams. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, minimizing tax liabilities, and supporting the financial health of the organization.

1. Tax Compliance:
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of all tax returns, including income tax, GST, TDS and other applicable taxes.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and ensure the company's compliance.
- Prepare and maintain records for tax audits and assessments.
- Assisting in month-end closing activities
- Supporting financial statements, schedules, and audit queries.
- Performing vendor ledger and customer ledger reconciliation.
- Review vendor and Client invoices for GST compliance.
2. Tax Planning:
- Assist in developing tax-efficient strategies to minimize the organization’s tax liabilities.
- Provide recommendations on tax-saving opportunities and incentives.
3. Financial Analysis:
- Analyse financial data to identify potential tax issues or opportunities.
- Collaborate with the team to integrate tax implications into financial planning and reporting.
4. Tax Documentation:
- Maintain organized and accurate tax records, ensuring easy retrieval for audit purposes.
- Prepare and submit necessary documents to tax authorities.
5. Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with team, to ensure accurate and comprehensive tax compliance.
- Provide guidance to colleagues regarding tax-related matters.
6. Vendor Management:
- Liaise with external tax consultants or advisors as needed for expert guidance and support.
7. Risk Assessment:
- Identify and assess potential tax risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
8. Financial Reporting
- Review trial balance and ensure accuracy of ledger balances
- Support in preparation of management reports, MIS and variance Analysis
What We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or Post Graduation or CA Pursuing in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience in direct and indirect taxation.
- Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in tax software and financial analysis tools.
- Positive communication and interpersonal skills.
