Purpose/Objective To ensure a safe and healthy working environment within the precast manufacturing facility by implementing, monitoring, and enforcing occupational health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and statutory requirements.

The Safety Officer will proactively identify hazards, conduct safety inspections, promote a strong safety culture, and minimize workplace incidents.

- Conduct regular workplace inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and unsafe conditions.
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, applicable state regulations, and company HSE standards.
- Monitor contractor safety compliance and ensure adherence to permit-to-work systems. Risk Assessment & Control - Carry out Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) activities.

- Recommend corrective and preventive measures to eliminate workplace hazards.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA) for critical activities such as lifting operations, casting, concrete pouring, post-tensioning, erection, and maintenance works. Incident Investigation - Investigate accidents, near misses, dangerous occurrences, and property damage incidents.

- Prepare incident investigation reports and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of safety observations, incidents, and compliance reports. Training & Awareness - Conduct safety induction programs for current employees, contractors, and visitors.

- Organize toolbox talks, safety campaigns, mock drills, and emergency response training.
- Develop safety awareness among employees to strengthen the safety culture.



Emergency Preparedness - Ensure emergency response plans are implemented and periodically tested.

- Coordinate fire drills, evacuation exercises, and emergency preparedness activities.
- Inspect firefighting equipment and emergency facilities regularly. Compliance & Documentation - Maintain statutory safety records, registers, and reports.

- Coordinate with government authorities during safety inspections and audits.
- Ensure all machinery, lifting equipment, and pressure systems are inspected and certified as per legal requirements.
- Prepare monthly HSE performance reports and KPI dashboards. Environmental Management - Monitor waste disposal practices and environmental compliance.

- Ensure proper management of dust, noise, emissions, and wastewater generated during plant operations. Key Activities in Precast Manufacturing The Safety Officer shall specifically monitor safety aspects related to:
- Precast mold preparation and casting activities.

- Concrete batching plant operations.
- Reinforcement fabrication and handling.
- Lifting, rigging, and crane operations.
- Heavy vehicle movement and traffic management.
- Post-tensioning operations.
- Work at heights.
- Welding, cutting, and hot work activities.
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance activities.
- Loading, storage, and dispatch of precast elements.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience- 5-10 Years Education - Diploma/Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil/Electrical/Industrial).

- Diploma/Advanced Diploma in Industrial Safety recognized by a statutory authority. Preferred Certifications - NEBOSH IGC.

- IOSH Managing Safely.
- First Aid Certification.
- Fire & Safety Certification.
