Experience : 4–5 years in procurement/supply chain in a battery, electronics, capital-equipment, or industrial manufacturing setting, with direct experience negotiating and managing high-value, import-linked purchase contracts.

Key Job Responsibilities :

Own end-to-end procurement of battery cells – vendor identification/qualification, RFQ, commercial negotiation, Master Supply Agreement and Purchase Order finalisation, and delivery-schedule tracking against the production plan.

Lead procurement of BESS cooling systems (liquid cooling units, chillers, HVAC/thermal-management packages) and containers/enclosures (ISO/custom steel containers, IP-rated cabinets), coordinating specifications with Engineering.

Manage sourcing of other bulk/store items required for the BESS Assembly Plant – structural steel, busbars, cabling, fasteners, and packaging materials – in coordination with Stores and Production planning.





Develop and maintain an approved vendor list for cells, cooling systems, containers and key BOM items; conduct supplier evaluation, audits, and performance reviews.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules; monitor and manage price-adjustment mechanisms (e.g. lithium-carbonate-indexed cell pricing) where applicable.

Track purchase order status, expedite critical deliveries, and resolve vendor quality/commercial escalations jointly with QA and Stores.

Prepare and present procurement cost, lead-time, and vendor-performance reports to management; identify cost-reduction and alternate-sourcing opportunities.

Guide and review the work of the Senior Engineer / Executive – Purchase reporting into this role for smaller/indirect procurement items.
