The role is responsible for end-to-end legal advisory support across business functions, management of litigation and pre-litigation matters against OLX India (including MACT cases), oversight of key contract negotiations, resolution of legal escalations raised by business teams, and support on data protection and compliance initiatives. The incumbent will also mentor junior team members on contract review and compliance implementation.

What you will do:

- Litigation Management

Manage end-to-end litigation matters against OLX India, including MACT cases. Coordinate with external litigation vendors and advocates for drafting and review of pleadings, factual validation, document collation, timely filings, case status updates, and maintenance of litigation trackers.
- Pre-Litigation and Escalation Management

Handle pre-litigation matters, legal notices, consumer escalations, and grievances raised by internal teams such as Customer Relations and the Cars vertical. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external parties to drive timely and effective settlement or resolution.
- Legal Advisory

Serve as the primary legal point of contact for business teams including Product, Tech, HR, Admin, Finance, Marketing, and Operations. Provide advisory support on operational issues, new business initiatives, policies, SOPs, Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and regulatory requirements, with a focus on risk mitigation and compliance alignment. Stay updated on new and evolving laws relevant to the business.
- Contract Review and Negotiation

Oversee and guide the review and negotiation of key commercial contracts.



Supervise and mentor a junior team member on contract drafting and negotiation to ensure business and legal alignment.
- Data Protection

Advise business teams on data protection matters including consent management, data deletion requests, and compliance with applicable data protection laws (such as the DPDP Act).
- Compliance

Advise teams on regulatory and compliance requirements. Guide and mentor junior team members on compliance implementation, including managing and reporting on software such as Complinity.
- Reporting and Governance

Prepare and present monthly trackers and presentations to the group company (CarTrade Tech), covering litigation status, escalations, and key legal/compliance matters.
- Strategic Legal Projects

Support and drive critical legal and compliance initiatives including platform reviews and other strategic projects as assigned.

What we are looking for:

- LLB degree from a Bar Council of India (BCI) recognised university.
- 5–6 years post-qualification experience in litigation, commercial contracts, and advisory, preferably in-house or with exposure to consumer internet/e-commerce/platform businesses.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills across litigation pleadings, contracts, and legal notices.




- Ability to independently manage cross-functional stakeholders and external counsel/vendors.
- Strong analytical and risk assessment ability.
- Ability to communicate legal risk clearly to non-legal audiences (business teams, senior management, group company).
- Organized and detail-oriented, with experience maintaining litigation/compliance trackers.
- Ability to drive quick closures and work effectively in a quick-paced, high-volume environment.
- Working knowledge of the Indian Contract Act, Special Relief Act, Arbitration Act, Consumer Protection Act, Dark pattern Guidelines, Motor Vehicles Act (MACT matters), Civil and Criminal Procedures, DPDP Act and rules, SPDI Rules 2011, IT Act, E-Commerce Rules, Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code, Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Act and allied Rules, Shops and Establishment Act.
