Role: Assistant Manager – Legal Department: Legal & Compliance

Reports To: Co-Founder & CFO

Experience: 2–4 yrs. in corporate legal, commercial contracts, or contract management. Exposure to Fintech, Lending, Consulting, or Corporate Legal environments preferred.

Type: Full time About Role: This is a practical, execution-focused legal position at the crossroads of fintech, lending, and embedded finance. As the Assistant Manager – Legal, you will serve as the primary line of defence for our zero-cost EMI offerings—drafting and negotiating merchants and lender contracts, ensuring our loan processes align with RBI's Digital Lending Guidelines, and protecting customer-borrower information under the DPDP Act. Your daily tasks will revolve around agreements, disclosures, compliance logs, and consumer notice replies.

Your performance will be evaluated based on delivery speed, drafting accuracy, and flawless regulatory compliance. Draft, evaluate, negotiate, and execute commercial agreements, such as:

Master Service Agreements (MSAs)

Statements of Work (SOWs)

Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

Vendor & Supplier Contracts

Professional Services Agreements





Licensing & Technology Agreements

- Deliver legal counsel to business, procurement, and operations departments.

Recognize and reduce legal and contractual exposures.

- Assist in agreement negotiations with clients, merchants, and collaborators.
- Guarantee adherence to relevant statutes, regulations, and internal protocols.
- Create and uphold agreement templates, clause repositories, and negotiation guides.
- Oversee the agreement database, renewals, modifications, and obligation monitoring.
- Liaise with outside legal advisors, as needed.
- Assist with regulatory compliance programs and internal assessments.

Profile

Educational Background- LLB from an accredited university.

Skills Required

Robust agreement drafting and negotiation capabilities.

Solid comprehension of Contract Law and Commercial Contracts.
