Position description

We are looking for an enthusiastic finance professional with a stellar academic record, who can take risks and assume ownership of multiple projects under ambiguity. This role comes up with a unique chance to build and scale financial processes and controls from the ground up. She/he should be equally comfortable doing C-Suite presentations and auditing journal entries to get to the root cause of the problem and lead a team of Executives.

Primary Responsibility

- Keeping a tab on overall supervision of various accounting and finance activities up to finalization

of accounts.
- Periodic closing of P&L;, Balance sheet, receivables, and payables, vouching and GL scrutiny,

depreciation & compliances with TDS, sales tax. Audit and taxation.
- Monthly closing of P&L;, reviewing all necessary journal entries, analysing cost & P&L; variances,

Balance sheet reconciliation, yield review, key matrix review, and investigating unusual items.
- Preparing Financial Statements and reports as required under the relevant statute.
- Keeping track of the xed assets register and keeping control strong control on the addition,

deletion,



or retirement of assets
- Process development & implementation across all company locations leveraging automation

tools for eciency & effectiveness and documentation thereof.
- Imparting training to various stakeholders in the organization on new processes.
- Cash ow & Fund ow management, Treasury management
- Supervision of the executive team
- MIS preparation
- Implementing an internal control mechanism
- Coordination with Auditors, Government authorities, outsourced consultants, and other

stakeholders.
- Ensuring control policies like Budget, Costing and Credit control policy are fully enforced and

adhered to, constantly vigilant, in
- the scope for reduction of costs through various means.
- Tax & other regulatory compliance management

Experience Required:
- Qualified CA Intermediate or graduate
- 5-7 years of experience in Finance & Accounting background preferably in a large format retail

chain.
- Advanced Excel skills required
- Working knowledge of Accounting & Taxation software such as Tally, QB, Spectrum etc.
- Prior experience of working ERP systems will be an advantage
