Role Description The Assembly Technician role is a full-time, in office position based in Chennai. This role involves assembling electric trolley platforms and mobility system components using mechanical and electrical assembly techniques, following engineering drawings and work instructions.
The Assembly
Technician will use hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment to build, fit, and secure parts, and will perform routine inspections to ensure assemblies meet quality standards and safety requirements.
Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting basic assembly issues, collaborating with production and engineering teams, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and documenting work completed in line with manufacturing processes. The role may also involve supporting testing, rework, and continuous improvement activities on the shop floor.
Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in mechanical assembly and the use of hand tools.
Candidates should possess skills in using power tools and performing soldering on electrical components.
Candidates should possess skills in quality control, including inspection of parts and completed assemblies.
Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to read and follow technical drawings or assembly instructions.
Prior experience in manufacturing, automotive, or industrial equipment assembly is beneficial.
Attention to detail, adherence to safety practices, and ability to meet production timelines.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues.
Relevant technical diploma, certificate, or vocational training in mechanical, electrical, or related fields is preferred.
