Role : Architect - Data Modelling

Role Overview :

We are looking for an experienced Architect - Data Modelling to design enterprise-scale semantic and analytical data models that support Business Intelligence (BI), analytics, and AI-driven applications.

In this role, you will define how enterprise data, business processes, and domain knowledge should be structured so that both humans and AI systems can efficiently consume, interpret, and act on the information. You will work across relational databases, semantic layers, ontologies, and knowledge graphs to build scalable, intelligent data foundations.

Key Responsibilities :

Data Discovery &

- Enterprise Data Planning :
- Analyze enterprise data landscapes, source systems, business domains, and data quality.
- Identify entities, relationships, data ownership, and lineage across systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting, analytics, and AI requirements.
- Create and maintain enterprise data landscape documentation.

Data Modelling &

- Architecture :
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
- Develop dimensional models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
- Define canonical data models, master data standards, and semantic definitions.
- Build semantic layers that simplify business data consumption for analytics and AI applications.
- Ensure models are scalable, reusable, and optimized for performance.

Knowledge Graph &

- Semantic Modelling :
- Design enterprise knowledge graphs representing business entities and relationships.
- Develop ontologies and taxonomies for semantic understanding.
- Model complex hierarchical and many-to-many relationships.
- Collaborate with AI engineering teams to support semantic search, contextual retrieval, and reasoning.

AI-Ready Data Design :

- Design data models optimized for LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and AI agents.
- Create agent-readable schemas and metadata-rich data structures.




- Improve data accessibility while minimizing ambiguity and hallucination risks for AI applications.
- Work closely with AI engineers to align data models with agent workflows.

Business &

- Consumer-Focused Design :
- Design models that support reporting, dashboards, analytics, and AI use cases.
- Conduct workshops with business users to understand functional requirements.
- Validate models using sample reports, queries, and business scenarios.
- Maintain documentation that maps business use cases to data models.

Data Governance &

- Quality :
- Define enterprise data modelling standards and naming conventions.
- Implement data quality rules and validation frameworks.
- Maintain end-to-end data lineage documentation.
- Partner with Data Engineering teams to ensure accurate implementation of models.

Required Qualifications :

- 5-7 years of experience in Data Modelling, Data Architecture, or related domains.
- Strong expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling.
- Experience designing semantic data models supporting analytics and AI workloads.
- Strong understanding of Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault modelling.
- Hands-on experience with Knowledge Graphs and Graph Databases such as Neo4j or Amazon Neptune.
- Experience designing semantic layers and business abstraction models.
- Solid SQL skills for validation, optimization, and performance analysis.
- Experience working with BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
- Understanding of AI data requirements including LLMs, RAG, vector retrieval, and graph-based retrieval.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience with metadata management and data catalog platforms such as Alation, Collibra, or DataHub.
- Knowledge of RDF, OWL, SPARQL, or other semantic web technologies.
- Experience with dbt for documentation and lineage.
- Familiarity with vector databases such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or pgvector.
- Experience working on AI or GenAI products.
- Contributions to enterprise data standards or data governance initiatives.
