About The Role We are looking for a skilled Automotive Application Design Engineer with expertise in product design, fluid systems engineering, and automotive component development. In this role, you will support engineering programs from quote through launch, leading the design, validation, and development of fluid assemblies and automotive components.

You will collaborate closely with customers, platform teams, and manufacturing to deliver robust, production-ready designs. Your contributions will directly impact the quality, efficiency, and innovation of our automotive solutions, ensuring they meet industry standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess over 5 years of experience in automotive engineering or product design engineering, with a strong background in automotive component design and fluid systems engineering. A bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Automotive, or related engineering disciplines is required; advanced degrees or certifications in automotive or systems engineering are a plus.

Proficiency in CAD tools, engineering drawings, and design documentation is essential.



Candidates should demonstrate experience with DFMEA, DVP&R;, and APQP processes, along with a solid understanding of manufacturing feasibility and production processes. Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage complex, end-to-end product development programs are crucial.

Knowledge of design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for assembly (DFA) principles is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive components and fluid assemblies from concept to production, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Support the entire product development lifecycle, including design, validation, testing, and launch phases.
- Collaborate with customers, account managers, and platform teams to define and refine product requirements and specifications.
- Establish design parameters and assess manufacturing feasibility for automotive components to ensure cost-effective production.
- Guide designers on fabrication, processing, and assembly considerations to optimize manufacturability and performance.
- Execute and implement programs through APQP / AQP methodologies, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality benchmarks.
- Create, review, and approve engineering drawings, material specifications, and performance criteria for automotive components.
- Conduct failure mode analysis (DFMEA) to identify potential risks and ensure design robustness and reliability.
- Develop and execute design validation plans (DVP&R;), documenting testing procedures and results to verify design intent.




- Drive design standardization and simplification initiatives to improve cost efficiency and manufacturing consistency.
- Coordinate prototype development, testing, and submission, ensuring alignment with project goals and customer requirements.
- Ensure all engineering and program objectives are achieved within established timelines and budget constraints.
