Iyer will be responsible for leading and optimising the company's global supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency in demand forecasting, production planning, logistics, and stakeholder coordination. His role will be pivotal in driving operational excellence, improving competitiveness, and supporting sustainable growth across Apollo Tyres' global markets.

Industry Veteran With Global Experience

Bringing over two decades of experience in supply chain management, Iyer joins Apollo Tyres from Beiersdorf AG, where he previously served as Global Vice President, Digital Supply Chain. In that role, he led the company’s supply chain digitalisation strategy, implementing transformative initiatives across Germany, UAE, Russia, and India. His expertise spans planning, logistics, customer service, and cost management, with a particular focus on sales and operations planning (S&OP;), logistics excellence, and cost-to-serve optimisation.

Before driving digital transformation at Beiersdorf, Iyer spearheaded the company’s global competency team, responsible for enhancing supply chain capabilities. Beyond his work at Beiersdorf, he has held leadership roles at Johnson & Johnson, Total Energies India, and Daikin Airconditioning, overseeing regional supply chain operations for diverse and complex markets, including Sub-Saharan Africa, Russia/CIS, and Southwest Asia.

He will be based at the company’s corporate headquarters in Gurugram, India, reporting directly to Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and Managing Director.
