Job Summary

Velvu Technologies Pvt. Ltd. is seeking a skilled and experienced SMT Engineer – AOI & SPI (TRI) to join our Electronics Manufacturing team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with TRI AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and TRI SPI (Solder Paste Inspection) systems and possess strong knowledge of SMT production processes, defect analysis, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate, program, and maintain TRI AOI and TRI SPI machines.
- Develop and optimize inspection programs for new PCB assemblies and product models.
- Analyze AOI and SPI inspection results and reduce false calls.
- Monitor solder paste printing quality through SPI reports and data analysis.
- Improve First Pass Yield (FPY) by identifying and reducing process defects.
- Perform machine calibration, verification, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
- Generate inspection reports and maintain production records.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and process validation.
- Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Process Engineering teams to ensure product quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in SMT manufacturing processes.

Required Skills & KnowledgeTechnical Skills
- Hands-on experience with TRI AOI Programming.




- Hands-on experience with TRI SPI Programming.
- Strong understanding of SMT manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of solder paste inspection parameters and analysis.
- Ability to interpret PCB layouts, Gerber files, BOMs, and assembly drawings.
- Familiarity with SMT equipment such as:
- Solder Paste Printer
- Pick & Place Machines
- Reflow Oven
- AOI Systems
- SPI Systems

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) or Electronic Surveillance Industry will be an added advantage.

Experience
- 2–5 Years of relevant experience in SMT Electronics Manufacturing.
- Proven experience working with TRI AOI and TRI SPI systems is mandatory.

Preferred Candidate Profile
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing workplace.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Understanding of IPC standards and SMT quality requirements is preferred.
