About the Role:

We’re seeking an Analytics Platform Engineer to help scale our existing Analytics Platform team at Jet2, this team is responsible for maturing and building the foundational analytics platforms that powers workloads from Data Engineering to Data Science.

This role has a strong DataOps focus – working alongside our other IT Teams collaboratively to enable the Data function to deliver first class workloads.

You’ll collaborate with many teams including Data Engineering and Analytics Development, Test, Release Management, IT Operations and more to drive maturation and growth. This is a great opportunity to shape the future of analytics platforms at a quick-growing, data-driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:

- Implement and manage Data Analytics orientated CI/CD workflows, infrastructure as code (Terraform), and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Work alongside our Data Analytics Test function to increase and accelerate automation in our testing workflows and processes
- Enhance and mature existing development and deployment processes to support faster, more efficient solution delivery across multiple teams

· Establish and enforce industry best practices for the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Contributed to building and maintaining scalable, cost-efficient, and secure platforms across cloud environments (AWS and GCP).




- Be proficient in data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Cloud-Native components and DBT.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering best practices in code quality, architecture, and system design.
- Evaluate new technologies and contribute to the evolution of our data platform strategy.
- Have a forward thinking approach to AI and Agentic AI – being able to recognize opportunities for use at enterprise scale.

Skills & Qualifications: Must-Have:

- 3+ years of experience in Data platform, DevOps and Data engineering
- Proven experience in DevOps practices: CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation) – preferably with a Data or Analytics focus.
- Experience in Analytics, cloud data warehouses and storage systems (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3, GCS).
- Deep expertise in Python
- Hands-on experience with orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow ).
- Solid understanding of data governance, access control, and compliance requirements (RBAC, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Strong communication skills and a track record of cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-Have:

- Experience with Analytics Testing approaches and strategies
- Experience with Data Quality Tooling
- Experience with observability stacks (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana etc).
