Company Description: Space.LABS is an innovation-driven engineering studio founded on the belief that creative freedom and independence lead to more advanced technical solutions. The team actively contributes to the evolution of railways through cutting-edge vision systems designed for automated compliance and predictive maintenance.
Space.LABS leverages Al, computer vision, and laser-based scanning to build robust, high-performance systems for industrial applications. The studio offers a energetic environment where engineers work on complex, real-world problems with tangible impact across industries. And we are expanding our hardware team at Space-Labs! ? We are looking for a hands-on Analog Design Engineer (4+ years experience) to join us in Noida and own the design of our precision sensor electronics.
Key Responsibilities
- Model the selected photodiode from its datasheet and bench measurements.
- Design the photodiode front end, including a TIA or suitable amplifier, gain, filtering, biasing, stability, and protection.
- Integrate high-resolution ADCs, precision references, low-noise power, microcontroller interfaces, and industrial communications.
- Analyze DC, AC, transient, noise, stability, tolerance, and temperature performance and correlate it with measurements.
- Own component selection, schematics, and mixed-signal PCB layout, including grounding, guarding, shielding, return paths, EMC/ESD, and DFM/DFT.
- Bring up prototypes and resolve noise, drift, oscillation, saturation, interference, and power-supply coupling.
- Develop characterization, calibration,
and validation methods and compare predicted and measured performance.
- Maintain BOMs, test reports, design documentation, and manufacturing handover materials.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or a related field, with 4+ years of board-level analog or mixed-signal experience.
- Robust knowledge of photodiode front ends, TIAs, low-noise op-amp selection, active filters, stability, offset, drift, and bandwidth-noise trade-offs.
- Experience with high-resolution ADCs, precision references, low-noise power, and mixed-signal PCB layout.
- Ability to build detector, noise, and error budgets and explain predicted versus measured results from a personally designed board.
- Proficiency with Cadence Allegro X/OrCAD X, Altium Designer, Xpedition, or an equivalent PCB platform.
- Proficiency with modern circuit simulators for noise, stability, transient, tolerance, and temperature analysis.
- Strong laboratory and component-level debugging skills, with working knowledge of MCUs and SPI, I2C, UART, RS-485, or CAN.
Preferred Qualifications
- Infrared photovoltaic detector, pyrometer, spectrometer, or scientific instrumentation experience.
- Cadence Allegro X/OrCAD X with Allegro PSpice, or an equivalent workflow.
- Python or MATLAB, high-resolution acquisition, calibration, EMC/ESD, or production-test experience. Ready to design precision hardware that powers cutting-edge industrial systems?
