Role & responsibilities

1. Installation & Execution:

- Assist in installation of firefighting systems including hydrant, sprinkler, and fire alarm systems as per approved drawings
- Execute work in coordination with MEP and civil teams to ensure proper routing and placement
- Monitor in office activities of contractors for fire system installations

2. Testing & Commissioning:

- Support testing and commissioning of fire alarm panels, detectors, hydrant lines, pumps, and sprinkler systems
- Conduct pressure testing, flow testing, and system checks
- Ensure systems are fully operational before handover

3. Quality & Compliance:

- Ensure all installations comply with NBC, NFPA, and local fire authority guidelines
- Verify materials delivered on-site meet approved specifications
- Assist in inspections with consultants and statutory authorities

4. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

- Identify and rectify faults during installation and testing phases
- Carry out pre-handover maintenance checks
- Support snag closure and final handover documentation

5. Documentation & Reporting:

- Maintain daily progress reports and installation logs
- Track checklists, inspection reports, and testing records
- Assist in preparation of as-built drawings and O&M; manuals

6. Safety & Coordination:





- Adhere to all site safety protocols and EHS guidelines
- Support fire safety preparedness at site including mock drills
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams for smooth execution

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications & Skills:

- ITI / Diploma in Fire & Safety / Mechanical / Electrical
- Certification in Fire Safety will be an added advantage
- Understanding of firefighting systems and construction site practices
- Ability to read drawings (GA, shop drawings, fire layouts)
- Basic knowledge of NBC, NFPA, and fire safety norms

Experience:

- 25 years of experience in firefighting system installation in construction or infrastructure projects
- Experience in large-scale institutional / campus / commercial projects preferred

Working Conditions:

- Full-time site-based role at a greenfield campus project
- May require extended hours to meet project deadlines
