General Manager - Project Execution

Role Summary:

The role will be responsible for seamless execution of multiple projects from conceptualization to handover. This role requires a hands-on approach and deep engagement with Project teams, Consultants & other stakeholders at every stage of the project's lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage an engineering team including Project Managers, Sr. Engineers, Supervisors etc. across various projects. Should play a key role in identifying and hiring new talent.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of multiple residential high-rise and weekend villa projects across design, procurement, and construction stages. Conduct daily site visits to monitor progress, identify risks and execution challenges early, and guide site teams in resolving issues effectively.
- Assist in contractor identification, pre-qualification process and finalization.
- Lead monthly and quarterly project review meetings with senior management, presenting project status, key risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Act as the primary escalation point for project-related issues and ensure timely resolution to maintain project momentum.
- Oversee project completion and handover, including snag-list closure, statutory documentation, and customer possession timelines.
- Ownership of drawings issued on site. Accurate documentation of all design revisions.
- Own the process of design and drawing co-ordination between all consultants like architect, structure consultant, MEPF consultant, interior designer, etc.




- Involvement in value engineering at design stage and time/cost optimization on site through practical solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:

- End to end coordination and collaboration with planning and monitoring team to ensure correct sequencing and timely achievement of milestones.
- Ensure contractor and vendor compliance with quality standards, HSE norms, statutory requirements, labour laws, and contractual obligations.
- Implement effective cost control measures, monitor budget utilization, and ensure accuracy in project cash flow forecasts and reconciliations.
- Provide leadership oversight on team performance, construction quality, safety compliance, and schedule adherence across projects.

Experience:

- The candidate shall have 20+ years' experience in real estate development projects, specifically in high-rise premium residential developments (Experience in G+20 & above is a plus).
- Should have proven track record of managing at least 5 vertical/horizontal high-end projects of 4+ Lacs SQFT each) from conceptualization to handover.
- Should have minimum 8 years of experience handling multiple projects at the same time.
- Experience in working with Tier-1 Architects, consultants, contractors

Skills:

- Good analytical, strategic, leadership, communication & teamwork abilities.
- Should be able to set processes and systems.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret all types of construction drawings.
- Must be skilled in collaborating with Architects, Structural, MEP and design teams to resolve in office challenges.
- Knowledge of construction materials & methodologies including finishing items.
- Good financial acumen, contractual negotiation, and governance expertise.
- Capability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
- Computer skills with knowledge of CAD, Excel & MS projects is a must.
- ERP experience is preferable.
