Job Summary

We are accelerating the digital transformation of energy and commodity trading through intelligent automation. We are looking for someone to lead a flagship initiative: the modernization of invoice processing within an OpenLink Endur environment.

In this role, you will be the lead architect for an end-to-end automation solution. You will design and implement a sophisticated pipeline that monitors inbound email traffic, extracts structured data from PDF invoices using intelligent document processing (IDP), and orchestrates seamless reconciliation within OpenLink. This is a critical role that sits at the intersection of GenAI, software engineering, and commodity trading workflows.

You will lead the delivery team from conceptual design through production deployment, ensuring robust error handling, automated variance adjustments, and seamless human-in-the-loop exception management.

Key Responsibilities

End-to-End Architecture: Lead the design and delivery of an intelligent invoice processing pipeline.

You will be responsible for the full lifecycle: from email ingestion and attachment parsing to data extraction and reconciliation within OpenLink.

Intelligent Document Processing (IDP): Architect and build the extraction logic to turn unstructured third-party invoice PDFs into structured data (Invoice #, Date, Counterparty, Currency, Amounts, Bank Details).

OpenLink Integration & Reconciliation:



Design the "matching engine" that compares extracted invoice data against OpenLink-generated invoices. Implement configurable tolerance thresholds for automated matching and variance reporting.

Automated Workflow Orchestration: Implement event-driven logic (using AWS Lambda/Azure Functions) to automatically transition invoices from Preliminary to Final/Approved status based on matching outcomes.

Settlement & Adjustment Logic: Engineer functionality to map bank account details to settlement instructions and generate automated cash adjustments for invoices within configurable monetary variances (e.g., ≤ $200).

Exception Management & UX: Design the exception handling workflow for mismatched invoices. Build and maintain the "Match Status" reporting layer, ensuring clear visibility into variance reasons and processing status for end-users.

API & Middleware Connectivity: Manage technical connectivity between disparate systems (Shared Email -> NOVA DMS -> OpenLink). Utilize APIs and event streaming (e.g., Kafka) to ensure real-time data flow and robust system integration.

Required Skills & Experience:

Agentic & AI Engineering (Mandatory):



Strong experience in designing AI/ML-driven automated workflows. Proficiency with LLMs or IDP frameworks (e.g., LayoutLM, AWS Textract, Google Document AI) to parse and structure complex documents.

Python & Cloud Proficiency (Mandatory): Expert-level Python skills. Demonstrated ability to write and deploy serverless functions (AWS Lambda or Azure Functions) to handle data ingestion, transformation, and API communication.

System Integration (Optional): Deep understanding of enterprise integration patterns (REST APIs, Web Services, JDBC). You know how to orchestrate data across heterogeneous systems like DMS and ETRM environments.

Logical Rigor (Optional): Exceptional ability to translate complex business rules (matching tolerances, variance logic, settlement mappings) into robust, testable code.

Domain Expertise (Optional): 5+ years of experience working with OpenLink Endur or similar ETRM platforms, specifically within the settlements or back-office domains.

Consulting & Leadership: Experience leading technical workstreams in a client-facing workplace. Ability to translate business requirements from traders/accountants into technical specs.

DevOps/LLMOps: Familiarity with the deployment lifecycle of AI services, monitoring agent/model performance, and maintaining system stability.

Regulatory/Trading Standards (Optional): Understanding of commodity market regulations and the high standards of accuracy required for financial settlement/invoicing.
