Role & responsibilities

We are looking for an AI-first Design & Workflow Intern to help redefine how healthcare design is practiced. This is not a traditional architectural. The objective is to explore how the latest AI tools can significantly improve design quality, reduce repetitive work, automate documentation, and streamline workflows across planning, design, and project coordination.

The intern will be given access to leading AI software, Design and productivity tools and will be encouraged to experiment, build systems, and identify opportunities for implementation within the design team.

This role combines architecture, technology, automation, and research.

Responsibilities

Design Support

- Develop multiple space planning and floor plan options from design briefs.
- Assist in architectural drafting and production drawings.
- Create presentation-quality mood boards and material palettes.
- Produce concept visuals and AI-assisted renderings.
- Support furniture, finishes, and FF&E; documentation.
- Assist with massing studies and conceptual design development.
- Build and maintain 3D models for design studies and presentations.

Research & Documentation

- Conduct precedent studies and healthcare design research.
- Collect and organize design standards, codes, and best practices.
- Prepare design documentation, reports, presentations, and meeting summaries.
- Build searchable knowledge libraries for future projects.
- Organize project files, references, and consultant information.

AI & Workflow Innovation

- Evaluate new AI tools relevant to architecture, interior design, and project management.

- Scheduling and task tracking
- Create templates, prompts, and internal SOPs that improve team productivity.
- Identify repetitive tasks that can be automated using AI.

Data Management

- Maintain organized project databases.
- Structure digital libraries for drawings, details, materials, and specifications.
- Assist in developing standardized templates for documentation.
- Improve information retrieval and project organization.

Innovation & Reporting One of the primary objectives of this internship is experimentation.

The intern will

- Continuously test emerging AI tools and workflows.
- Compare different software and platforms.
- Document findings, limitations, and recommendations.
- Present periodic reports demonstrating measurable improvements in efficiency, quality, or cost savings.
- Build a library of repeatable AI workflows that can be adopted by the entire design team.

Success will be measured not only by project support but also by the systems and efficiencies created during the internship.

Preferred candidate profile

Done Interior Design Course / Diploma -Arch/ B.Arch.

- Architecture, Interior Design, Computational Design, or related field.
- Solid interest in AI and emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhino, or similar software.
- Basic understanding of 3D modeling and visualization.
- Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Strong research and analytical abilities.
- Ability to learn new software independently.
- Curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to experiment.
