Role Description The AI Cyber Security Officer at VIIT-INDIA will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring security measures that protect AI systems, data, and infrastructure from cyber threats. Day-to-day tasks include assessing security risks, developing security policies and procedures, configuring and maintaining security tools, and analyzing security incidents with a focus on AI-driven applications and services.

The role will involve collaborating with IT teams, faculty, and researchers to ensure secure deployment of AI models, compliance with data protection regulations, and adherence to best practices in cyber security. The officer will also conduct security audits, prepare documentation and reports, and provide training and guidance on safe and responsible use of AI technologies. This is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad.

Qualifications





- Candidates should possess strong cyber security skills, including threat analysis, vulnerability assessment, incident response, and security architecture design.
- Candidates should possess applied AI and machine learning skills, such as understanding AI model lifecycles, data security for AI systems, and AI-specific threat vectors.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with security tools and technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of network and cloud security, including secure configuration of servers, networks, cloud services, and identity and access management.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST frameworks, data privacy and protection guidelines) and the ability to apply them in institutional settings.
- Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to diverse stakeholders.
- Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Cyber Security, AI, or a related field are highly beneficial.
- Professional certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, or specialized AI security credentials are advantageous.
- Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad, collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams, and maintain high ethical standards in handling sensitive data and systems.
