About the Role

We are looking for a deeply hands-on engineering leader who can drive engineering excellence across client delivery and internal product initiatives.

This role requires a strong technical background along with the ability to contribute to architecture decisions, solution design, code quality, engineering standards, and complex technical problem-solving while leading engineering teams at scale.

The ideal candidate should be actively involved in engineering execution and capable of working closely with leadership, engineering teams, and global clients across the US, South Africa, and Australia.

What You Will Own

- Engineering delivery across services delivery pods and internal product teams.
- Technical architecture, code quality, and engineering standards across projects.

- Hands-on involvement in solving complex technical and architectural challenges.

Required Technical Skills

- 8-12 years of experience in software engineering and engineering leadership roles.
- Strong hands-on experience building and scaling production-grade software systems.
- Deep understanding of production LLM and agentic systems including multi-step agents, tool use, structured outputs, evaluation pipelines, guardrails, and cost/latency optimization.
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, AutoGen, or equivalent technologies.
- Robust understanding of RAG architectures including chunking strategies, hybrid retrieval, reranking, and evaluation workflows.
- Experience with prompt engineering, model selection, and AI engineering best practices.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Copilot.




- Strong systems engineering knowledge including Python, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, vector databases, REST APIs, event-driven systems, queuing, observability, and production support practices.
- Experience with cloud-native architecture on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Ability to contribute to architecture reviews, debugging, code reviews, and technical problem-solving.

Team AI Readiness & Continuous Learning

- Drive internal AI enablement initiatives across the engineering organization.
- Support continuous learning around AI frameworks, tooling, evaluation systems, MCP, and emerging technologies.
- Establish and encourage knowledge-sharing initiatives including technical sessions, peer reviews, and hands-on learning.
- Evaluate and help adopt new AI tools, frameworks, and engineering workflows.

Business & Commercial Skills

- Experience working with international clients on technical discovery and solution planning.
- Ability to scope and support engineering engagements across fixed-price and time-and-materials models.
- Understanding of delivery operations, utilization, and engineering execution models.
- Comfortable presenting and collaborating with senior technical stakeholders including CTOs, CIOs, and engineering leaders.
- Exposure to client-facing engineering environments across multiple geographies.

Leadership

- Proven experience leading engineering teams in fast-paced environments.
- Strong hiring, mentoring, and team development capabilities.
- Ability to operate as a player-coach with strong technical involvement.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working across global teams and multiple time zones.

Strongly Preferred

- AI platform or cloud certifications.
- Experience in AI-first engineering, IT services, or product engineering environments.
- Exposure to international delivery models across the US, South Africa, or Australia.
- Open-source contributions or technical writing.
