Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The Accountant will manage day-to-day bookkeeping, general ledger entries, and reconciliation of bank accounts, GST, and balance sheet items in line with client and internal standards.

Responsibilities include processing accounts payable and receivable, preparing journal entries, supporting month-end and year-end closing, and generating accurate financial statements and management reports. The role involves assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities,



cash flow tracking, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders, maintain strong documentation and internal controls, and contribute to continuous improvement of accounting processes and systems.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess strong foundational accounting skills, including general ledger management, double-entry bookkeeping, reconciliations, and knowledge of accounting standards.

Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of P&L;, balance sheet, cash flow statements, and management information reports (MIS).

Candidates should possess competencies in AR/AP processing, payroll support, and compliance-related activities such as GST and tax filings.

Candidates should possess proficiency with modern accounting and ERP platforms (e.g., QuickBooks Online, Xero, NetSuite, Sage, Zoho Books, Tally or similar) and solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.

Candidates should possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail abilities, along with effective written and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA/CPA or equivalent) are an advantage.

Experience in outsourced accounting, shared services, or multinational client environments, and familiarity with internal controls and process-driven execution
