Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a passionate, dynamic, and experienced Mathematics Teacher to teach Additional Mathematics and Integrated Mathematics for Grades 811 within the Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level curriculum framework. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, inquiry-driven teaching practices, and the ability to foster analytical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual understanding among students.

The candidate should be committed to academic excellence, differentiated instruction, and holistic student development while contributing positively to the wider school community.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons for Grades 8th to 11th, including:
- Cambridge Lower Secondary Mathematics
- IGCSE Mathematics
- IGCSE Additional Mathematics
- AS Level Mathematics / Integrated Mathematics

- Design lesson plans aligned with Cambridge curriculum standards and learning outcomes.
- Foster conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and application-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs and abilities.
- Use technology, manipulatives, and innovative teaching methodologies to enhance learning experiences.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations with strong academic outcomes.
- Conduct regular formative and summative assessments and maintain accurate academic records.
- Provide timely feedback to students and parents regarding academic progress and development.




- Create a positive, inclusive, and collaborative classroom environment.
- Participate actively in curriculum planning, departmental meetings, school events, and professional development programs.
- Support interdisciplinary projects, enrichment activities, math clubs, competitions, and STEM initiatives.
- Uphold school policies, safeguarding practices, and the ethos of the institution.

Preferred candidate profile

Essential Qualifications

- Bachelors / Masters Degree in Mathematics or a related field.
- B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Cambridge professional development certifications will be an added advantage.
- Strong understanding of Cambridge IGCSE and AS Level Mathematics frameworks.

Experience

- Minimum 5 - 10 years of teaching experience in an international school or Cambridge curriculum school.
- Experience teaching IGCSE Additional Mathematics and AS Level Mathematics is mandatory.
- Proven track record of strong student performance in board examinations.
