Purpose/Objective

The Biomedical Engineer - Projects will be responsible for planning, evaluating, procuring, installing, commissioning, and operationalizing biomedical equipment for greenfield and brownfield healthcare projects.
The role ensures that all medical technologies and equipment are aligned with clinical requirements, statutory regulations, quality standards, and project timelines to support world-class patient care and operational excellence across Adani Healthcare facilities.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Biomedical Equipment Planning & Design - Prepare detailed medical equipment plans based on clinical requirements and hospital master plans.
- Coordinate with healthcare planners, clinicians, architects, MEP consultants, and project teams for equipment integration.
- Develop equipment room data sheets, technical specifications, and utility requirement schedules.
- Ensure compliance with NABH, JCI, BIS, and other applicable healthcare standards.
Procurement & Vendor Management - Prepare technical specifications, BOQs, and tender documents for biomedical equipment procurement.
- Evaluate vendor proposals, conduct technical bid analysis, and recommend suitable solutions.
- Participate in commercial and technical negotiations with equipment suppliers.
- Coordinate with procurement teams for timely ordering and delivery of equipment.
Installation & Commissioning - Monitor equipment delivery, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Ensure site readiness, utility availability, and interface requirements before installation.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) where applicable.
- Verify equipment performance and ensure successful handover to operations teams.
Project Coordination - Work closely with project managers,



contractors, consultants, and clinical stakeholders to ensure seamless execution.
- Track project schedules, budgets, risks, and milestones related to medical equipment deployment.
- Ensure timely completion of biomedical project deliverables within approved budgets.
Compliance & Quality Assurance - Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and healthcare accreditation requirements.
- Maintain documentation related to equipment specifications, warranties, maintenance contracts, and regulatory approvals.
- Support hospital licensing and accreditation audits by providing necessary equipment documentation.
Handover & Operational Readiness - Coordinate user training programs with vendors and clinical teams.
- Develop inventory records, asset registers, and maintenance schedules.
- Facilitate smooth transition of equipment from project phase to hospital operations.
- Support preventive maintenance planning and lifecycle management strategies.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics & Biomedical Engineering, Medical Electronics, or related discipline.
- Master's Degree will be an added advantage.
Experience - 5–10 years of experience in biomedical engineering, medical equipment planning, healthcare projects, or hospital infrastructure development.
- Experience in greenfield/brownfield hospital projects preferred.
- Exposure to multi-specialty hospitals, medical colleges, or healthcare infrastructure projects is desirable.
