Purpose of the job:

To define the roles, responsibilities, authority, and competency requirements of the Executive - Purchase (Lithium-Ion Battery) to ensure timely procurement of materials and services in compliance with quality, cost, delivery, and regulatory requirements of the organizations Quality Management System.

Key Accountabilities/Duties & Responsibilities:

- Plan and execute procurement of battery cells, BMS ,Busbar, pack components, raw materials, and consumables.

- Source and evaluate suppliers for lithium-ion battery components including cells, BMS, busbars, connectors, fuses, thermal materials, enclosures, and wiring harness

- Prepare and release RFQ, PO, and rate contracts as per approval matrix.

- Negotiate pricing, delivery terms, payment terms, and commercial conditions.

- Ensure procurement complies with quality standards, technical specifications, and statutory requirements.





- Coordinate with Engineering, Quality, and Production for technical and delivery alignment.

- Ensure on-time material availability to meet production and project schedules.

- Manage supplier performance including quality, delivery, cost, and responsiveness.

- Support supplier audits, qualification, and development activities.

- Handle import/export coordination, logistics, and documentation (where applicable).

- Track and control inventory levels, lead times, and procurement costs.

- Support cost-reduction, localization, and alternate sourcing initiatives.

- Manage non-conforming material issues in coordination with Quality.

- Maintain procurement records and documentation as per ISO / IATF requirements.
