Role Description The Academic Advisor will provide guidance and support to students throughout their academic journey, ensuring alignment between their interests, skills, and career aspirations. This full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India involves conducting one-on-one advising sessions, helping students select appropriate courses and programs, and assisting with academic planning and progression.
The Academic
Advisor will collaborate with faculty and administrative teams to monitor student performance, identify learners needing additional support, and recommend interventions or resources. Daily tasks include organizing counseling workshops,
maintaining accurate advising records, offering career and education pathway information, and supporting student orientation and transition activities. The role also involves promoting student engagement, fostering a supportive learning environment, and contributing to initiatives that enhance student success and retention.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Student Counseling and Career Counseling skills to guide learners in academic, personal, and professional decision-making.
- Candidates should possess clear and empathetic Communication skills to interact effectively with students, faculty, and guardians.
- Candidates should possess Academic Advising and Education-related skills to support course selection, academic planning, and progression tracking.
- Candidates should possess the ability to work collaboratively in an educational setting and maintain accurate student records.
- Relevant experience in academic advising, student services, or counseling within higher education or vocational training is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Education, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is preferred.
- Familiarity with creative, media, or entertainment education programs and an understanding of current industry trends is an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills, problem-solving abilities, and a student-centric approach are essential.
