Mayavé (https://mayave.design) designs and makes 3D-printed, hand-finished objects — illuminated shrines, sacred objects and sculptural wash basins. Every piece is modelled in-house, printed in parts, then joined and finished by hand. Some of them light, speak or move. We are looking for an intern who can model in Blender and already understands what happens to a model once it reaches a printer. What you will do
Model products in Blender from sketches, references and physical constraints
Split forms into printable parts and plan joins, tolerances and wall thickness
Prepare and slice files for FDM printing; run prints and diagnose failures
Iterate on physical samples — measure, adjust, reprint
Produce clean renders and turntables for the website and catalogue What we are looking for
Working knowledge of Blender: hard-surface modelling, booleans, modifiers, clean topology, UVs, basic lighting and rendering
Practical 3D printing experience, not theory.
You have printed your own models and know why prints fail.
Comfort with real measurements and physical tolerances
Patience for revision and hand-finishing
Ability to work from our Hyderabad office from day one Practical, not essential: sculpting for idols and ornament, Fusion or other CAD, slicer familiarity (Cura, PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio), product photography. Details
