This Position reports to:
Automation Engineering Manager
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.

This role is contributing to the machine automation within ABB''s Automation division in Ahmedabad-India region.
You will be mainly accountable for:
- Planning, monitoring, and executing application development tasks, including new product development, incremental modifications, and timely closure of assigned work.
- Providing technical support for testing, installation, commissioning, debugging, and diagnostics activities.
- Translating conceptual designs into detailed engineering documentation through modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations, while applying design thinking and best practices.
- Assisting in preparing engineering proposals and presentations and maintaining effective communication with customers and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identifying and managing project risks/issues,
ensuring compliance with organizational standards, and promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction
Qualifications for the role:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electrical / Instrumentation / Automation or related discipline).
- Minimum 3-7 years of application development and support experience.
- Well-developed understanding of Industrial Automation systems like PLCs, motors, drives, motion control and robotic systems
- Demonstrable experience in building strong and enduring customer relationships within highly energetic and competitive markets
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
- Willing to travel for site support and commissioning as required.
