Job Description Semi-Senior Accountant

1. Role Summary

We are seeking a Semi-Senior Accountant responsible for end-to-end accounting execution, bookkeeping accuracy, and support in financial finalization. The role requires solid practical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client deliverables under deadlines.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Core Accounting & Bookkeeping

- Maintain accurate books in Tally/ERP
- Record sales, purchases, expenses, journal entries
- Ensure proper ledger classification

B. Reconciliation & Checking

- Perform bank, vendor, debtor reconciliation
- GST (GSTR-2B) and TDS reconciliation
- Resolve discrepancies and missing entries

C. Finalization Support

- Assist in preparing Trial Balance, P&L;, Balance Sheet
- Pass adjustment entries (provisions, accruals, depreciation)
- Support year-end closing and audit

D. Compliance Handling

- Prepare GST and TDS data
- Coordinate with CA/consultants
- Ensure books align with statutory filings

Client Coordination

- Follow up for documents and queries
- Resolve discrepancies with clients

F. Audit Support

- Handle audit queries
- Provide documentation and clarifications

G. Accuracy & Process

- Ensure documentation for entries
- Identify incorrect mappings and variances

3. Skills & Competencies

- Strong accounting fundamentals
- Knowledge of GST & TDS
- Hands-on Tally/ERP experience
- Ability to handle reconciliations independently
- Attention to detail and problem-solving

4. Experience Requirement

25 years of experience in accounting, CA firm, or outsourcing setup with hands-on bookkeeping and reconciliation exposure.

5. Preferred Profile

- Strong execution-focused candidates
- Ability to handle client data independently
- Comfortable with volume work and deadlines
