Job Description / Responsibilities

- Identify and develop reliable vendors/suppliers for procurement of quality materials at competitive prices.
- Vendor Development, Vendor Registration, and Vendor Performance Analysis.
- Understand technical aspects of Material Requisitions and evaluate quotations from commercial and technical perspectives.
- Conduct techno-commercial negotiations with vendors to obtain best pricing, delivery terms, and service commitments.
- Material planning, sourcing, and development of new supply sources for project requirements.




- Generate and release Purchase Orders and ensure timely execution until material reaches end users/sites.
- Coordinate logistics and transportation arrangements for timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Follow up with suppliers for on-time delivery and ensure uninterrupted supply chain operations.
- Coordinate with project sites and vendors for technical clarifications and procurement-related issues.
- Work closely with Project, Finance, and Stores departments for smooth procurement operations and process improvements.
- Reconcile supplier accounts and ensure proper documentation.
- Prepare procurement plans and schedules as per project requirements.
- Procure major spares, consumables, and project materials.
- Ensure timely closure of Purchase Requisitions (PRs), indents, contracts, and Purchase Orders.
- Formulate procurement strategies focused on cost reduction, continuity of supply, and risk mitigation.
- Prepare MIS reports and procurement progress status reports for management review.

Desired Profile of the Candidate

- Graduate/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end procurement and purchase processes.
- Experience in EPC/Oil & Gas procurement activities preferred.
- Valuable negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.
- Ability to handle multiple vendors and project procurement requirements efficiently.
- Strong analytical and commercial evaluation capabilities.
