Role & responsibilities

Design, write, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium (or equivalent tools) for web-based CRM functionality

- Convert existing manual test cases (functional, regression, and data validation) into automated test scripts
- Execute automated test suites against staging/QA environments and analyze results
- Identify, document, and track defects found during automated test execution
- Collaborate with manual QA testers to understand test case intent, edge cases, and expected behavior
- Maintain and update test scripts as application features evolve
- Contribute to building a reusable, maintainable automation framework
- Report on test coverage and automation progress to QA leadership

1-3 years of experience in software testing, with some hands-on exposure to test automation

- Working knowledge of Selenium WebDriver (or willingness to ramp up quickly)
- Basic programming/scripting knowledge in Java, Python, or JavaScript
- Understanding of core QA concepts: test case design, functional testing, regression testing, defect lifecycle




- Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
- Solid attention to detail and ability to follow structured test documentation (Excel/Word-based test cases)
- Good written communication skills for documenting defects and test results

Preferred candidate profile

Someone who is curious, methodical, and comfortable working from detailed manual test case documentation to build reliable automated equivalents. This role offers strong mentorship from the existing QA team and a clear growth path into a senior automation engineering role as our automation coverage expands.

Exposure to a test management tool (TestRail, Jira, Zephyr, etc.)

- Familiarity with API testing tools (Postman, REST Assured)
- Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and how automated tests fit into them
- Prior experience testing SaaS or CRM-based web applications
- Exposure to BDD frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG, JUnit)
