Role & responsibilities

An Assistant Manager (Statutory Audit) at a Big 4 firm manages audit engagements, plans audits, leads teams, ensures compliance with Ind AS/SAs, reviews financials, assesses risks, liaises with clients and internal teams (Tax, C Law), prepares reports, and mentors junior staff, focusing on project management, technical expertise, and delivering quality audits within deadlines

Preferred candidate profile

- Audit Management: Plan, execute, and finalize statutory audit engagements, overseeing day-to-day operations and project management.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, guide, and mentor junior auditors, reviewing their work and ensuring high-quality outcomes.
- Technical Expertise: Apply solid knowledge of Accounting Standards (AS), Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS), and Auditing Standards (SAs).
- Client Interaction: Act as a key point of contact, understand client business, address queries, and manage client relationships.
- Risk & Control: Identify business risks, assess internal controls,



and recommend improvements.
- Reporting: Prepare detailed audit reports, findings, and conclusions for management and stakeholders.
- Coordination: Liaise with other firm teams (Tax, C Law, etc.) and overseas counterparts for integrated service delivery.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal firm policies.

Key Skills & Qualifications

- Education: CA qualification highly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in statutory audits, ideally within a professional services environment.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, leadership, project management, communication, and attention to detail.
