Interior Designer

Location: Ajoynagar, Kolkata
Salary: 20,000 to 30,000 per month

Experience: 2 to 6 years of experience in Interior Designing
Gender: Male/Female both applicable

Job Summary:

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to manage projects from concept development to final execution. The role involves client interaction, space planning, design presentation, preparation of technical drawings, BOQs, site coordination, vendor management and ensuring timely completion of projects while maintaining high design and execution standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Meet clients to understand project requirements, design preferences, lifestyle and budget.
- Develop innovative interior design concepts for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare space planning, layout plans, mood boards and design presentations.
- Create detailed 2D working drawings, furniture layouts, electrical layouts, ceiling layouts and other execution drawings.
- Develop high-quality 3D visualizations and realistic renders for client presentations.
- Prepare BOQs, quantity estimates, cost estimates and material specifications.
- Guide clients in selecting materials, finishes, colors, furniture, lighting, furnishings and dcor elements.
- Coordinate with project managers, execution teams, site supervisors, contractors and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Conduct site visits for measurements, progress reviews, quality inspections and issue resolution.




- Monitor execution to ensure designs are implemented accurately and within project timelines.
- Resolve on-site design and execution challenges efficiently.
- Review vendor quotations and coordinate procurement of materials.
- Maintain project documentation, design revisions, BOQs and client approvals.
- Ensure compliance with design standards, quality benchmarks and safety requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver projects that meet client expectations and company quality standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- Bachelor's/Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field.
- Solid proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, V-Ray and Adobe Photoshop (Lumion will be an added advantage).
- Excellent knowledge of space planning, working drawings, BOQ preparation and interior detailing.
- Good understanding of materials, modular furniture, finishes, lighting and site execution.
- Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates and technical documentation.
- Strong client handling, presentation and communication skills.
- Excellent coordination, problem-solving and project management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail with a creative design approach.

Preferred Experience:

- Experience in residential and commercial interior design projects.
- Exposure to turnkey interior execution and site supervision will be preferred.
