Area Credit Manager

Key Responsibilities

* Underwrite Home Loan (HL) and Loan Against Property (LAP) proposals.

* Assess salaried and self-employed customer income, financials, and bank statements.

* Review CIBIL, Legal & Technical reports, and property valuation before credit approval.

* Approve loan cases within assigned underwriting authority and recommend higher-value cases as per the approval matrix.

* Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Legal, and Technical teams for timely credit decisions.

* Ensure adherence to credit policy, risk guidelines, and maintain portfolio quality.

Candidate Profile

* 3+ years of experience in Home Loan/LAP credit underwriting with a Bank, NBFC, or HFC.

* Independent underwriting authority of 30 Lakhs.

* Recommendation authority of 2 Crores.

* Experience handling 30+ loan files per month.

* Robust knowledge of mortgage underwriting, credit appraisal, income assessment, banking analysis, CIBIL, and Legal & Technical evaluation.
