Job Description

Treasure of Veda is building a D2C jewelry and gemstone brand from the ground up and is looking for an experienced Operations Head to own end-to-end operations sourcing, manufacturing coordination, inventory, D2C fulfillment, customer experience, and team building. This is a hands-on, founder-mindset role suited to someone who has scaled a jewelry, gemstone, or similar D2C/commerce brand before and can bring that playbook to a recent venture.

Key Responsibilities

- Define operational processes, SOPs, and systems for a new D2C jewelry/gemstone brand, building the operational foundation from scratch.
- Identify, onboard, and negotiate with gemstone/jewelry manufacturers, karigars, and suppliers; manage quality control and certification (including lab certifications for gemstones).
- Set up inventory systems (ERP/CRM) and manage stock across raw material and finished goods; coordinate production timelines against sales demand.
- Own D2C sales operations, order fulfillment, packaging, logistics, and returns across website and marketplace channels.
- Manage customer support operations and streamline the customer journey, issue resolution, and retention processes.
- Handle vendor management, procurement, negotiations, and purchasing to ensure cost efficiency and timely fulfillment.
- Build MIS reports and performance dashboards to track COGS, margins, inventory turnover, and fulfillment SLAs.




- Drive collections and cash realization through process improvements and TAT management.
- Develop SOPs and quality audit frameworks to improve operational efficiency across functions.
- Hire, mentor, and lead on-ground operations, support, and fulfillment teams as the brand scales.
- Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Design, Finance, and Sales teams to align inventory and production with brand launches and campaigns.
- Handle high-ticket client relationships and resolve operational escalations.

Candidate Requirements

- Min 5+ years of experience in jewelry or gemstone operations manufacturing, sourcing, procurement, or D2C with at least one experience of building or scaling a brand/business unit from an early stage.
- Experience managing multi-function operations such as sales operations, customer support, procurement, and fulfillment, ideally within a jewelry, gemstone, or gemstone-adjacent commerce platform.
- Demonstrated success improving cash realization and TAT through collections management and process discipline.
- Deep knowledge of gemstone/jewelry supply chains — karigars, certification processes, pricing, and quality benchmarks.
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills; experience setting up ERP/CRM systems from scratch is a strong plus.
- Strong vendor negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Comfortable with startup ambiguity; able to build processes rather than just follow them.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience building and managing teams.
