Job Purpose

To manage and control the company's fixed assets by ensuring accurate capitalization, asset tracking, depreciation, physical verification, and compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register (FAR) and ensure accurate asset capitalization.
- Process asset additions, transfers, disposals, and retirements.
- Calculate and monitor depreciation as per the Companies Act and applicable accounting standards.
- Conduct periodic physical verification of fixed assets and reconcile with the FAR.
- Coordinate with Plant, Procurement, Stores, and Finance teams for asset tracking and capitalization.
- Prepare Capital Work-in-Progress (CWIP) schedules and monitor project capitalization.




- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits by providing required documentation.
- Ensure proper asset tagging and maintain asset movement records.
- Prepare fixed asset-related MIS reports and analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, and internal controls.

Qualification

- B.Com / M.Com / CA Inter / CMA Inter (Preferred)

Experience

- 4–7 years of experience in Fixed Asset Accounting, preferably in an FMCG or Manufacturing company.
